Tupac Poetry Featured in 2013 Ford Fusion Ad.

Recently, Ford released a new promo ad for the all new 2013 Fusion. In it, they used a poem from the late Tupac Shakur called "The Rose that Grew from Concrete". Not much about the car is actually said, but apparently, the Fusion was designed and built from nothing but a giant slab of granite. The comparison between the car and a rose makes a lot more sense when they illustrate it in this manner. Personally, I like some of Tupac's music, but using this poem doesn't really make sense to me because it has nothing to do with the Fusion. Honestly, Ford guys are doing what marketing geniuses have been doing for years; they are using a celebrity to market their wares to a certain demographic. Many people seem to think this is some sort of breakthrough for the American public, but in reality, it's just another way to get more revenue for a big business. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just don't want to make it seem like something incredible has taken place. He was a great rapper and a good marketer. Let's leave it at that.
