426 HEMI in a 55' Chevy: Roadkill

These are just a couple car guys named David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan. They both work for Hot Rod magazine and they both have a strange affinity towards old decrepit automobiles. The old decrepit car of today's article would be a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. Not only is it the perfect candidate for a rebuild, (completely stripped and ready for paint) but it is an excellent excuse for a road trip! The dynamic duo drive from their hometown in CA to the location of the car. On the return trip to Oregon, they stop in a little town in the middle of the Mojave desert called Ridgecrest, CA. Some way or another, they heard of a guy who does nothing but old American muscle car parts and wheels. A place like that is Mecca for muscle car guys, and you can tell from the looks on their faces that they are stoked to be there. Doing a ground-up restoration is something I've always wanted to do, unfortunately it takes a lot more time and money than I can afford right now. However, that doesn't mean I won't at some point in the future, that's for sure. Watch the video and enjoy the journey!
