What we have here is the dream of many men and women all over the country. It is a pro-touring car by every sense of the term in that it has all the amenities and performance of a modern day sports car, plus the nostalgia and in-your-face styling reminiscent of a bygone era. Personally, I don't think it's the best looking retro job I've ever seen, but the effort they put into making it look like this was tremendous, I'm sure. For those of you that have no referance as to what a real 1969 fastback should look like, this is for you.
The similarities are there, but the soul of the real American muscle seems to be missing from the fastback reincarnate. I can't honestly say that I like Retrobuilt's version of the iconic Ford. Unfortunately, I don't think that the rear end of a brand new Mustang GT looks anywhere near similar enough for them to do a really good job on a "retro" build. The aggressive front fascia and long, sweeping hood are almost an exact match, but the stubby tail-end of a newer Mustang just doesn't seem to fit. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for customizing your ride to your liking, but just because someone says it looks awesome, that doesn't mean it actually does. What do you guys think? Is this one of the coolest custom jobs ever? Or is it a Frankenstein with no shame? Don't forget to "Like" or "Share" on Facebook! Have a great day!
