So, the Toyota Previa is an interesting alternative to your standard, run-of-the-mill minivan in that it had a rear-drive platform, an engine laying underneath the floorboards (low center of gravity), and a manual transmission. Of course, not all of these vans were equipped with the manual trans, but this one is. The only thing it's missing is the supercharger and all wheel drive which were options for the year. Personally, I would prefer the AWD, but there is certainly something to be said for a rear-drive minivan. Could you imagine drifting around the corner and sliding perfectly into a parking space at the local supermarket? I sure can.
Of course, you would more than likely have to perform some sort of light modification to the engine and suspension components to make a really fun car, but that's the name of the game, isn't it? You can come check out this unicorn of a car in person at our lot in Santa Clara. Give us a call with any questions, and be sure to say hi if you come to visit. Have a splendid day!
