2007 MBZ SLK55 AMG: A Real Mans SLK-Roadster

The SLK-Class roadster has long been viewed as a fun, yet feminine car that most men would rather not be seen driving, let alone own. Recently, Mercedes has caught on and released an AMG version of the roadster with a 5.5 liter V8 stuffed under the hood. The extra power (355hp, 322ft lb of torque) paired with more aggressive wheels, brake system, lower front end and meaner grille make for a seriously mean looking machine. The rear fascia has the same general look as its predecessor with the exception of an itty bitty lip across the top. The car sounds great, and the naturally aspirated V8 eagerly burbles with the anticipation of your foot hitting the floorboard. And trust me when I say this thing is a rocket on wheels.

In fact, this car outperforms the same model year (base) Corvette in almost every way. Of course, daily driving will hide the minute differences in quarter mile times and the sprint from 0-60, but that still doesn't take away from the fact that this is faster than Americas darling "supercar". Not only does it perform slightly better, the build quality of the interior and exterior panels is leaps and bounds ahead of the Corvette. (although what car isn't?) In the end, the SLK55 AMG is a luxurious force to be reckoned with and will continue to look fantastic for future generations of car lovers and buyers. Check it out at Wheels and Deals, or call with any questions. *(408) 246-1000
