High Mileage Economy Car: 1995 Toyota Celica GT

I've long said that almost any high-mileage car can be a long-lasting, dependable commuter; so long as the previous owner took the proper steps in maintaining said car. What we have here is a prime example of what you can get from someone who meticulously maintained their ride from day one. The owner had this car since new, and had every single service done that was suggested by the dealership; exactly what you want to see when interested in a high mileage vehicle for daily use. Of course, the fact that this particular example happens to be a Toyota is no fluke, as Toyota's tend to last much longer than similarly priced vehicles in their class. However, that's not to say that a well maintained Ford Probe couldn't last just as long, because it all depends on the driver and how well they keep on top of the services. Equipped with a five-speed manual transmission means this car is not only fun to drive, but that also means you can squeeze more precious miles out of a gallon of gas than its automatic brethren. How many of you own a dependable, high mileage vehicle? Share with us what you have and let us know how you kept it running well for so long. Keep it up and have a nice day!
