Turn-Key FUN Daily Driver: 1976 Volkswagen Beetle

There are fun cars, and then there are FUN cars. The VW Beetle is one of the original FUN cars, as the possibilities are nearly endless. You can make a killer off-road Dune Buggy, a slammed and stanced show car, or even a rocket ship of a drag racer with this RWD rear mounted platform. Those are just a few of the many reasons I find this classic so intriguing. Most of the time, the older Vdubs have been thrashed to the point of no return, but this example has been set up for whatever your heart desires. The engine is the completely stock 1600cc, equipped with the standard 4-speed transmission. The original wheels have been powder-coated black, with the chrome dome caps from a 50's era Porsche, making it pop much more than having the wheels alone. The interior has been retrofitted with great parts, including Recaro racing seats, a B&M short shift kit, and a decent stereo set-up. Check out pics after the jump.

The interior is almost set up 100%! How can you go wrong?
