USA (Chevy Duramax) VS. Deutsch (VW TDi)

Here we have two trucks that come from completely different parts of the world with completely different purposes. The Duramax Diesel is intended to be used as a solid workhorse with no compromise in power. The other is meant to be an overpowered autobahn monster and trailer hauler. Believe it or not, the numbers on these two vehicles are strangely similar. The 5.0L 10 cyl. Toureg produces 310 horsepower, 553 lb-ft of torque, while the 4.5L Duramax makes 310 hp and 520 lb-ft. However, numbers are often times quite decieving. Also keep in mind that the two vehicles have completely different ride heights, suspension components, and tires. All three are variables that must be taken into consideration before jumping to any conclusions. Check it out and enjoy.
