Winter Driving Can Be Dangerous!

As we head into the skiing and snowboarding season, there will be countless people going to and from Tahoe. On that particular journey, it is inevitable that you will run into snow. When in these unsavory conditions, normal driving practices will not keep you out of trouble, especially if you aren't running on winter tires and/or chains. So, keep in mind that when you pump the brakes in icy conditions, you won't get the same result as if you had done the same on dry pavement. Slipping on black ice is one of the scarier things that can happen to an inexperienced driver, but you will more than likely have to encounter it at some point in your life. Check out the video below, and pay attention. This guy may have gotten minor damage to the front end of his (fantastic) Evo 8, but he avoided a lot more potential damage by controlling his stop after skidding along the black ice.
