Toyota Has a Motorsport Division in Deutschland?

As most of you may or may not know, auto manufactures who have cars that are performance oriented generally have a motorsport division to accompany them. The purpose of these groups are to find ways to make their heavy hitters faster and more efficient. Mercedes has AMG, Dodge has SRT, BMW has the M-division, and the list goes on. Until recently, I had thought Toyota's performance group was TRD (Toyota Racing Development), however it seems that in Germany, they utilize a more specialized group that goes by Toyota Motorsports GmbH (or TMG). These guys are the creme de la creme of auto engineers and racing experts who specialize in making fast cars faster. Recently, I heard that they will be releasing something called the TMG Sports 650. It is based off of a Lexus LS-Class and will produce roughly 640HP from its  twin-turbo 5.0L V8. The transmission they chose for this particular dream machine is an eight-speed automatic, and apparently it will be able to easily handle whatever poweris thrown at it. Previously, I had thought any transmission with more than six gears would be reserved for econoboxes. Clearly, this is not the case, and I will be interested in seeing what the next monstrosity with an "octo-mission" will be.
