If ever you find yourself in NY receiving a ticket for parking in a red zone, just take the dang thing. And especially don't try to elude the officer standing directly in front of your car, because you might end up with more than just a ticket. This genius thinks that if the officer isn't done writing the ticket, he hasn't actually gotten it and can escape the fee. However, he learns the hard way that this just isn't the case, and if a cop tells you to stay put, you probably should.
