With a name like "Kodiak", you know it has to be special; because if you're going to name a vehicle after one of the largest land predators on the planet, the end result should be equally impressive. Chevrolet has done this very well with their ultra luxury trailer puller, fit with their biggest 6.6L diesel Duramax engine. This particular truck is set up for pulling a 5th wheel trailer, all while driving like a Cadillac. The interior is luxurious and comfortable, and it's jam packed with goodies like a 10" screen for entertaining the kiddies, a navigation system, and a rear bench seat big enough to sleep on (if you don't feel like sharing a bed with your significant other in the trailer).
Driving this thing around is not nearly as difficult as one would think. Its turning radius is fantastic; far better than a F350 dually by far. Maybe it was just my imagination, but maneuverability was something I had assumed would be an afterthought with this monster, but apparently this is not so. I guess that makes sense, because when you're pulling a 40' trailer, you kinda have to be able to squeeze through some pretty tight places. And at days end, the one truly important question comes to mind; would I choose this vehicle to escape a zombie apocalypse? I think yes. Weld a few iron bars over the windows, and you have yourself a veritable moving fortress, fit for a family of five. Because that's really the only important quality to look for in a vehicle anyway.
