Quirky, Economic Fun! 2006 Chevy Aveo Hatchback

Generally speaking, there are very few newer, inexpensive cars out on the open market that are readily available to those with lower incomes. This car, however, is another story. It is a 5-speed manual with a 1.6L 4 cylinder engine. That means that it will easily achieve over 30mpg on the freeway, and at least 25mpg around town. Although this car is about as bare-bones as they come (no cd, cassette, A/C, power windows or locks) it is still an incredible value. Personally, I never keep the stock radio, and the A/C is something I can live without as well. For people like me, this is just the ticket! It will keep you under the radar (and the speed limit) saving headaches that would accompany any tickets a more powerful car inevitably receives.

While it's certainly no VW Golf GTI, it definitely has potential to be a seriously fun little car to throw around.
European-style, egg shaped fun! What more could you ask for?
