Automotive racing is extremely fast paced, and therefore dangerous by default. The driver, pit crew, and spectators all run the risk of being injured while participating in such events. Unfortunately, accidents happen, and when they do, they oftentimes end with catastrophic results. It is a sad day for the entire racing community when someone is injured or killed in such an accident, but it also serves as a warning to participants, and a wake up call to those not prepared for disaster. After watching this video, I have a new-found respect for the pit crews who risk life and limb to make these cars go faster round the track.
