I haven't been very up-to-date on the Venom GT as of late, but I can't say that I'm surprised it broke the world record for the fastest production car on the market. What with it weighing in at a measly 2,700 lbs and over 1200 HP, it gets through all 6 gears like it's nothing. In my opinion, they could have broken 270mph, but the test driver missed what I think was 4th gear. I was actually blown away that they used that run for the record breaking run. If I were John Hennesey, I would have demanded another go at the 2 mile stretch. But, they did break the record, so I suppose that's enough for the time being. Enjoy.
